Favorite past times

My favorite past times are going to Universal Studios with my brother. I remember waiting in the long lines and the anticipation of getting on the rides. My favorite ride their is Dueling Dragons. I love roller coasters. The particular one scared the hell out of me though. I had my eyes closed the first time I rode it. My brother told me that you miss everything that way so I rode it again.

My brother was an employee at the park so we made it a every month thing. We would get up at 6 o'clock in the morning to get dress and be the first in line at the gate when the parks open. We would spend the entire day there, 7am-8pm.

After leaving the park I would be so tired and dizzy. We would ride the rides at least 4-5 times. My brother knew the operators, so we would go through a back door if they were working that day. If not, we had to wait in line like every one else.

Wine

I'm not a big drinker but when I do I love to drink wine. I was told a glass a day is good for your heart. My favorite wine is Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. I can drink them with any meal of alone. I love to drink Pinot Grigio with butter bread before a meal. I fell in love with it when I went on a date to an Italian restaurant and we had to wait for our food.

Chardonnay is a favorite because of it's smooth tastes. I had one glass and fell in love with it. I will drink a whole bottle if  I'm not sharing...(that rarely happens..lol) I usually keep a bottle of wine for occasions in the refrigerator.

I love to try different flavors as well, but I hate red and grape wine. My first glass was at my grandmother's house. (I poured a glass unbeknownst to her of course) I thought it was the worse tastes I have ever tasted. I'll stick to my white wines.

Mustang GT500

I am so in love with the mustang GT500!! I love everything about this car. I have always wanted this car since the 1995 model came out. I remember watching the Vanilla Ice video as a kid and asking my mom if she would buy the car. I was so pissed when she came home with a different car. She told me that she's not buying no "ice ice baby car!" That's what I used to call them..lol.

When the 2000 model came out I knew that this was my dream car. It seems like each year the model are more sexier. I can picture myself riding in a drop top to the beach or out of town in one. My favorite color for this car is all black. I want a rear spoiler and tinted windows of course, and custom rear exhausts. I don't know how to drive a manual transmission but I will learn so I can buy one that has it.

I plan to buy this car after I graduate college. It will be my graduation present. I want to have it customized as well. Black seats with purple lining. (gotta have a touch of purp!e) I also plan to travel somewhere when I get it. I can't wait.....sigh.

All the things that I wanted to become starting at age five to now: cow girl, police woman, fire woman, veterinarian, flight attendant, private investigator, actress, basketball player, writer, judge, talk show host, model, race car driver, artist, designer, teacher, singer, song writer, exotic dancer (don't judge me..lol), gymnastic, medical secretary, mother, FBI agent, paralegal, violinist, comedian, tennis player(I looove tennis!!), wife, wedding planner, and beautician.

No matter how much I dreamed I knew that whatever I wanted to do I could do it. I am a strong determined individual who won't stop until I get what I want! ;)

Summer vacation

This summer I am planning a trip to the beach. I'm not sure which beach to go to. I will probably end up going to Cocoa or Daytona. I haven't been to Daytona since I was five years old. I always go to Cocoa so I will switch it up and go somewhere different. I love to swim and the beach is a relaxing fun place to be. If I'm not at the beach in the summer I'm usually at the pool. I love the water!!

Last summer I was at the pool almost every day. When I go I spend hours there relaxing. I also get in the hot tub which is now a spa because the heater isn't working. The spa helps my back a lot. I wish it was working properly.

So this summer will be fun and I look forward to it. I haven't been on a vacation in a long time this will be a much needed one. I will probably end up going to both beaches if I feel up to it, who knows. I love to travel so this will be fun.

Gym Flow

I recently signed up with a fitness trainer at a private gym. We meet every Saturday due to each other's busy schedules but I want to go more days than just one. I plan to go at least 2-3 days out the week. I don't want to over do it but I have so much energy that I think I'll be ok.

I remember about 5-6 years ago I was in the gym 3-4 days out the week. Me and an ex-boyfriend would be in there in beast mode!! I could lift way more than I could now. I love to work out but it seems like everything gets in the way when I plan to go. I know working out should be a life style not a chore, I just slacked up over the years. Now I have more time to dedicate time to the gym. I'm ready and nothing can stop me.

Sleep fighter?

So, last night I was watching classic movies. I watched my favorite movie, Rush Hour 2. I watched most of it and dosed off to sleep. I dreamed I was fighting like Lee and Carter!! I woke myself up by kicking my old tv. I was lying at the foot of the bed watching tv and my old tv was at the head of the bed. I'm tall so it was near my feet. I kicked it so hard that it startled me. No more action movies before bed I guess..lol

Moving....Uggh!!!!

About five years ago I remember moving. I had no help basically. I had one person helping me and it was horrible. I had to help lift everything!!! I was so miserable that day it didn't make any sense. I remember driving around with my mom looking for relatives to help us move. I remember two specifically, who wouldn't help. We drove by a cousin's house to ask if her husband could help. He straight out said "NO". But when we decided to give away a bedroom set he was ready to come get it. My gave him the set anyway.

On moving day, I remember lifting furniture like craaazy!! I wanted to cry, I was in that much pain. I had to lift two sofas, a washer and dryer, two recliners, two queen size bedroom sets, a dining room table, a china cabinet, an entertainment center, two dressers, TVs, and coffee tables. Needless to say, I wasn't in a good mood.

What made that weekend worse was when people started showing up asking if I needed help after everything was moved. I had to go up two flights of stairs lifting all that heavy furniture....Never again though. I just can't do it. I will be moving in June and I will not be lifting furniture, I am only moving my clothes, dishes, and valuables.

I Love Music!!!

Today I have been listening to music all day! I love music soo much! Music puts me in a relaxed mood. No matter what I may be dealing with, once I turn my favorite songs on I'm good! I have been listening to TGT: Three Kings album, Avant, T.I., Fantasia, French Montana, Nicki Minaj, and 112 just to name a few.

I also enjoy old school music as well, like Prince, Luther, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, The Staple Singers, Tony! Toni! Tone!, Chaka Khan, Patti Labelle, New Edition, Boyz II Men, Etta James, Tina Turner, Zapp and Roger, Parliment Funkadelics, Sam Cooke, Lisa Fischer, Evelyn Champagne King, Kool and The Gang, Mary Jane Girls, Shannon, Rose Royce, Stevie Wonder, and Teena Marie. I am also a huge Earth, Wind, and Fire fan!!

It seems like the content of music is so much different than it was when I was a kid. Old school music was about love. Candle light dinner, wine, dim the lights, close the door kind of love. But today's music is so much explicted!! So many details and they wonder why the percentage of teenage pregnancy has risen..smh.

My funny Valentine's......day

I really don't celebrate Valentine's day, but I am willing to accept the candy and cute little teddy bears..lol.

 This Valentine's day I will treat my mom and sister to dinner somewhere nice. My dad is welcome to join us as well (if he has our gifts this year). I have always brought my mom something on Valentine's day. From singing bears to boxes of gourmet chocolate. A few days ago I went in her room to see all of her gifts from over the years that I have brought. Some of the gifts that require batteries still work. I was filled with joy when I saw that she kept all of the gifts.

My sister on the other hand, will not spend a dime on you..lol This chick is all for herself. I will still treat her with gifts though. I have given her cards and chocolates as well through her eighteen years.



Whatever I plan to do this year I hope to make someone smile. Valentine's day to me is not all about lovers but about the people you love. I plan to spend it with them (until I get my own Valentines) lol. I'm sure they won't mind. Happy Valentine's day to you and yours. <3

Flight #1

I have yet to take an airplane ride. I always wondered what it would be like up thousands of feet in the air. I would love to take a short flight just to experience it. I don't want to go alone though, just in case I freak out lol. Maybe a close friend or my mother would come along with me. My mom has never been on an airplane either.

My grandmother always take flights. She explained to me that's it's like sitting in her living room. Really??? It's dark and crowded?? I think NOT. lol. Maybe she meant the comfort of the flight was like her sofa...I hope.

I'm going to plan a trip somewhere just to fly. I might go visit my cousins in New York. I have never been out of the state either. I heard New York was a fast city....very fast compared to my current state. Oh well, I only live once! :)

When It Rain It Pours.

Today has not been my day. I am so tired and irritable. My friend lost her dad, a family member is getting on my nerves lying to me, I almost got hit driving to school by a student, and other bs stress. I just want to be left alone but I pushed myself to come to school today, (in the rain).

I think I should have stayed home because I can't concentrate upset. It seems like when one thing goes wrong EVERYTHING starts to go wrong. And it's like no matter how hard I try it doesn't get better

Sometimes I just want to say forget it and not even communicate with certain people, but they're family..smh. I have no choice. I'm tired of it. There has to be a better way.
But it's life and we have to deal with the bs. Hopefully things will get better.

Dating: Me

  I have been out of the dating game for a while now. I called myself, "taking time out to figure out what I want". I guess I took a vacation because it's been a long time since I dated. I am not getting any younger either lol.

  I wanted to take time out because I kept getting losers on my dates. I want more than that and I deserve a whole lot more. I just got tired and said forget it! Now I'm wanting to date again and possibly settle down and kids after marriage. I am very patience and that has gotten in the way of me dating. If I'm not feeling that person I just say forget it but I know I have to be better than that. I guess that's not patience after all..lol. My mom and my friends all tell me I NEED someone and "don't waste your life enjoy yourself". They're probably just tired of me lol.

 Ok, I'm not gonna lie. I do want someone but I'm afraid of getting hurt. I've let my guard down before and it wasn't good. People can take advantage of a kind heart. I know I have to look pass that and take a chance. I've actually learned from it. I don't regret any of my past relationships or anyone I've dated because I've learned from it.

So, I'm gonna take things slow and try this dating thing again I guess...sigh...errr.

Family Matters

I love spending time with my family. There must be a thousand of us. Each year we all get together and celebrate the holidays. We decided a few years ago to all come together and eat Thanksgiving dinner together. We all usually eat with our immediate families and visit the rest of the family after dinner. For the past two years we have been all eating together. There are so many of us to all fit in one house so we rented a local high school cafeteria to accommodate all of us. I didn't make it to the first dinner but I was glad to be able to go to the last one. We all had a great time and the food was on point!! Each family brought their Thanksgiving meals to the cafeteria. We had smoked turkeys, fired turkeys, honey glazed hams, macaroni and cheese, collard, turnip, and mustard greens (I cooked them:) ), stuffing, yams, and much more. Desserts were homemade pound cakes, bread puddings, banana puddings, sweet potato pies, pumpkin pies, chocolate homemade tier cakes, strawberry punch bowl cakes, cheese cakes, holiday tri-color cakes, and assorted chocolates. We had so much food that we all had to give it away to friends that stopped by.

When it's time to celebrate Christmas, we all spend time with our grand mothers and grand fathers. (There are six girls and two boys from my great-grand parents and many kids, great-grands to great-great grands.) In my family, my grand mother is the fourth daughter from my grand parents. We all get together at my grand mother's house on Christmas eve night each year. We have a Christmas party following a reading by her of The Night Before Christmas for the younger grand kids. Then after the reading we all exchange gifts. We return on Christmas day to eat dinner at my grand mother's house.

My family has many traditions. We even get together at my great grand parents house to watch the Martin Luther King, Jr. parade out front of the house. We all cook out in the yard and watch the parade and fry fish. My cousin is the mayor of the town and helps coordinate the parade.

I hope my family will continue to come together and keep the traditions going. I plan to start traditions of my own when I get married and start a family. Mine will be a little different. I want to travel on the holidays and create different memories each year. I have never been out of this state so that will be interesting.

Blaah

I am soo tired today. I can't even focus. I have been up since 6:00 a.m!! Errr. I want to sleep but I have to do more work today. It would have been ok if I was up an d not moving as much, but I was constantly moving. To make it worse I didn't eat until 3:00p.m. I am so exhausted. I would've even typed this blog if it wasn't for a grade. But I'm managing. I hope I make it to three paragraphs. Sigh. My mind is blank right now. I want to go home, grab a cappuccino and crawl in bed.

When I get home I am going to sleep for days. Actually, I'm going to clean the house because I left my room in a mess looking for something that was important. I hope I don't have any guest when I get home because I am so tired and I do NOT feel like entertaining or even talking. Hope they don't think I'm rude but that's just real. I am not at my best right now.

It seems like everything wants to bother me when I'm tired. Maybe it's just me but I have been so irritable today, I need sleep!! ASAP!! Just talking about sleep is making me tired right...zzzzzzz...zzzz.zzz....now. I am so sleepy. This might be the most boring post that I have posted but oh well...sigh, it's a time killer. (shrugs)

Rrrroar!

I think I will start a new collection. I might start collecting lions. I love lions! I don't know what it is about them but they interest me, (the fake ones lol). Me being a Leo might have something to do with it. I remember when my mom bought me a lion pendant when I was in high school, it was gorgeous. Sad to say, I lost it. I also wanted a tattoo of a lion but I could never decide on which design to get so I forgot about the idea. I have a stuff lion animal and a lion jewelry case so far to begin my collection. If I can collect a purple lion that would be great! My two favorite things all in one.

Mother Love

  Have you ever known someone who had the answer for everything? Well, I do, my aunt! She loves to be in everyone's business and she has the answer for everything. She is the family's gossiper. She will tell your business in a minute, and she even tells her own..TMI sometimes too..lol. My aunt couldn't hold water if she tried. Her husband is just as bad! (That's a whole other post..smh) I love my aunt, but it gets on my nerves how she loves to gossip. If we ever want to hear the latest family news we call and talk to Auntie"______."

  But what really gets to me is, she tries to fix others problem but don't take care of her own house. How are you going to tell people what to do when your own husband walking around....(let me hush..lol) But she needs to mind her own business and get him in check as well. I believe if she spent time working on her own problems she wouldn't dream of the time to gossip or pry in other affairs. Sometimes we tell her things just to see how fast it would get back to us by another family member. We don't have to wonder how they found out either..Auntie "______" of course. But all in all my aunt is a good lady. Nosey, but a good person :)

Rude= Inconsiderate

While I'm typing this I am sitting next to a woman who is talking so loud on her cell phone like she is the only person in this office. She is being soo inconsiderate and rude. I hate that. This room is only so big and has an echo, take your phone conversation elsewhere lady!! Geesh. I'm glad I'm not taking a test online because I wouldn't be able to concentrate and would probably fail. Then we would have a problem. I'm not a rude person so I would tell her politely to tone it down. I had a phone call earlier and I know she saw me trying to hear the call. Still, she continued to chat as loud as she could..smh.

Wow..smh. Now she's off the phone and talking back to the computer. Really?? This lady is clearly inconsiderate of others. This is not her personal office. Have some consideration of others! I think, no, I Know I need to get home internet service SOON. We have wifi in this office but I still would have to deal with other problems like slow connection or no connection at all on the lap top. Sigh...sooooon.

Purple Rain

I really love the color purple!!! I have tried my hardest to collect things that are purple. So far I have collected a cell phone case, bed sheets, curtains, a mirror, note book, hair brush, and much more. I don't know why I'm so fascinated with this color. It's different and I love to be different. One of my favorite singers loves this color as well. (Uww whoop! as he would say.) (*hint: Purple Rain.) If I could dye my hair purple and not look like a weirdo I would, but that would be too far..lol. I also have a collection of purple finger nail polish. One of my favorite movies is titled The Color Purple. I love that movie and can quote almost all the lines.

Purple has been my favorite color for years now. My cousin and I share the same color, but I am more of a fanatic than she is. I'm a collector. I remember when I would get mad as a little girl when some of my classmates were asked what their favorite color was. I was like, "Noo, that's my favorite color!" I got mad as if they were taking the color away from me..lol.

I want to continue to collect things that are purple, but I don't want to end up like those people on the tv show, My Crazy Obsession. I won't go too far with it and have a whole room dedicated to things that are purple. I'll just keep it to a minimum.

Tired Auntie...Zzzzz

The weekend was great. I had my 16 month old nephew over. He's my first nephew and he is spoiled..lol. I love him soo much. He reminds me of my brother when we were growing up. He looks just like him. I often mistakenly call him by my brother's name, that's how much he looks like him. My nephew was over for the whole weekend. He went home Sunday evening. I had time to rest after the busy weekend but I still don't have any energy. It's so weird. I take naps and wake up still tired. Does anybody else feel that way?? I may need to take vitamins. I've tried energy drinks but they only make me jittery afterwards. so glad I have evening classes...sigh.

First day of class: Intro to comp apps

    This is my first day of class in Introduction to Computer Applications. So far, I am enjoying the class. I plan to learn more about computer applications. It's been a while since I have studied computer programs. My first class on computers was in middle school. We learned the basics: how to compose and check an email, Word (how to create a document), and keyboarding. Technology has changed a lot since then. Many people think computers are very complicated and they don't even try to learn applications. In my opinion, nothing is hard. You just have to take the time and learn. I believed I have learned a lot about computers over the years. I am always using computers: cell phones or a desktop. If  something seems hard for me I play around with it and try to teach myself how to use that program. I am not familiar with the program Excel or Outlook. I have tried Excel in 1999 while I was learning the basics but I have not tried it since.

   When I use computers I am on facebook, texting or playing video games. I love to play racing games. I have a strong passion for cars, especially exotic cars. I hope to own a race car in the future. My favorite car is the Shelby Mustang GT 500. When I was growing up I wanted to be a racecar driver but changed my mind because I figured it was too dangerous. I'll continue virtual racing instead.

  This is my second time  joining a blog site. I was a member of one not to long ago but I don't remember the name of it. I joined the site out of boredom. Hopefully, I will continue to use this site after my course has ended. I actually love to chat with others but I haven't blogged in a while. I believe that will all change in due time.
